Australia–Indonesia trade development
Nalham is developing a traceable beef-trade pathway that connects the source, independent grading, transparent commercial terms, approved processing, freight and the buyer in one documented transaction.
Development status: proposed commercial model. No livestock or meat is offered for sale through this page. Transactions proceed only after the required counterparties, facilities, permits, certifications and market-access conditions are verified.
Commercial principle
A base commercial position is agreed before commitment. An independent, agreed grading result then determines the applicable quality adjustment under a written price schedule. Logistics, processing, certification and other agreed costs remain visible rather than being buried in an unexplained final number.
The producer can see how quality affects payment. The buyer can see what was graded and delivered. Nalham coordinates the evidence, decisions and handovers needed to keep both sides working from the same record.
People and accountability
Confirms buyer requirement, commercial structure, price schedule, approvals and final transaction record.
Defines the Jakarta product mix, target customer, achievable retail pricing, import-side costs and acceptance requirements; coordinates the Indonesian route to market.
Provides truthful origin, livestock, production and availability information and accepts the written grading and price mechanism.
Records the agreed objective grading measures independently and supplies a signed, traceable result.
Registered processors, cold-chain providers, certifiers, exporters and importers perform the regulated activities within their approvals.
Confirms specification, import pathway, acceptance criteria, delivery point, payment milestones and authorised sign-off.
Transparent price architecture
Illustrative structure only. Actual units, currency, Incoterms, taxes, duties, loss allocation, foreign exchange and payment security must be agreed for each transaction.
Parties approve the base, measurement method, grader, adjustment table, tolerances and dispute process.
The signed result is attached to the lot and the agreed formula is applied without discretionary renegotiation.
Documents, approvals, product specification, cold-chain plan, insurance and payment milestone are checked.
Transaction gates
Australian meat exports and Indonesian imports are regulated. Nalham’s role is coordination and transparency; regulated work must be performed by appropriately approved establishments, exporters, certifiers and importers.
Single transaction record
Brand architecture
Nalham can develop the customer proposition, product architecture and communication around the beef while preserving the identities and evidence that create trust. The consumer-facing brand does not need to be the farm’s brand, but origin, approved establishment, grading, halal status and traceability claims must remain accurate and verifiable.
Jason controls the Jakarta market view: cut mix, channel pricing, advertising allowance, tax and import costs. Nathan converts that demand into an Australian sourcing, processing and export specification. The producer is rewarded under an agreed independent grade schedule.
